Published care answers
Useful answers before you drop it off.
These answers reflect Carson Cleaners' current official FAQ. For unusual materials or time-sensitive work, call the Hanover store directly.
How long does dry cleaning usually take?
Carson Cleaners currently says it usually operates on a three-day cycle. Next-day service can sometimes be offered when necessary, while certain processes require more time.
Can Carson Cleaners clean leather and suede?
Yes. The current official FAQ says leather and suede cleaning is handled through specialty cleaners and takes approximately two weeks.
Why might I be asked to sign a release form?
The published explanation says a release may be requested when a care label is missing or when trims or construction details are not covered by the manufacturer's cleaning instructions. The purpose is to identify risks the cleaner cannot control that arise from the way an item was manufactured.
Can I bring in something that is not listed on the services page?
Carson Cleaners explicitly invites customers to ask about unusual items. Published examples include seat cushions, costumes, canvas covers, feather beds and handmade craft items.
Can I drop cleaning off after hours?
Yes. The Hanover location has a 24-hour garment deposit chute. Bag the items and include your name, phone number and any special instructions so the order can be processed when the store reopens.
When is the seamstress available?
The current official service page says the in-house seamstress is available Monday-Friday. Carson Cleaners recommends calling ahead if you want to confirm availability before making the trip.
